The Australia-India Institute (Aii) was founded at the University of Melbourne in 2008 to provide leadership in enhancing Australia-India relations. The Aii has made important contributions to bilateral relations in over a decade of operations, convening leadership dialogues, workshops, seminars and discussions, producing public research and working closely with the government on projects promoting bilateral relations and mutual understanding. 

Bliss Digital was commissioned by Aii to develop the ARCH India (Australia Researcher Cooperation Hub – India) website. The website is an online resource serving as a host and collaboration hub for researchers, as well as providing incoming Australian researchers with more guidance around navigating the research environment in India.

As part of this project, we developed Arch India’s digital brand as well as designed and developed their website. The website is an online platform for researchers to connect expertise, build relationships, share information and explore opportunities for collaboration and mobility. The site was developed over two phases, first as a highly searchable information and resource site and secondly, as a custom web application that enables users to create their own profile and collaborate with the organisation on the platform.

Our team developed the site using Drupal and its headless architecture provided the ideal platform for the client’s high-level customisation requirements. We also developed a user-friendly Drupal backend experience, which we continue to refine and improve in collaboration with the University of Melbourne-based team. The site was launched successfully in 2021 within an accelerated timeframe.
