In mid-2019, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) appointed Bliss to design and develop a new website to promote the Australian Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP). DFAT was looking to develop the website on the GovCMS Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. Compliance with the Digital Service Standard was mandatory.
The new website was to deliver two high-level outcomes: making Australia a partner of choice for providing high quality, sustainable infrastructure in the Pacific and TimorLeste; and supporting Pacific countries and TimorLeste to have greater access to capital to support high quality, resilient economic infrastructure. The website was to target governments from the Pacific region and Timor-Leste, private sector project financing participants, international development and aid groups and proponents, infrastructure companies and development banks.
The major challenge of the project was that DFAT had a critical go live date, which only allowed our team a very short development time frame. Using an accelerated Agile project plan, involving weekly sprints, were managed to meet their deadline and deliver the full scope of works – including visual design, theme development, GovCMS PaaS implementation, content population, UAT and deployment.
Today, we provide ongoing support to DFAT to keep the website relevant to their users and stakeholders.
